Ceremonial Matcha
Origin & Process:
Our matcha is sourced from a small, sustainable farm in Kagoshima, Japan. It’s crafted using traditional methods, with the leaves hand-picked, steamed, dried, and stone-ground into a fine powder. This process ensures that our matcha retains its vibrant flavor, deep green color, and full nutrient profile.
Kagoshima Matcha Flavor Profile:
Umami-Rich: Kagoshima matcha often has a deep umami taste, which provides a savory, almost broth-like richness that lingers on the palate.
Subtle Sweetness: There’s a natural sweetness that balances the umami, giving the matcha a smooth and approachable flavor with low bitterness.
Mild Bitterness: Compared to other matcha-growing regions, Kagoshima matcha tends to have lower bitterness, making it ideal for those who prefer a softer, more mellow taste.
Nutty and Earthy Notes: Kagoshima matcha carries subtle earthy or nutty undertones, enhancing its depth and adding to its complexity.
Texture: When prepared, Kagoshima matcha typically has a creamy, smooth mouthfeel, making it ideal for lattes or as a standalone tea.
